The center tone should appear between the speakers, not necessarily from a physical center speaker. If left and right are reversed, check cable routing and OS audio settings.

What should happen

  • Left should come only from the left earcup or speaker.
  • Right should come only from the right earcup or speaker.
  • Center should appear midway between the two sides at a similar loudness.

If the sides are reversed, check the cable orientation, operating-system balance and any audio interface routing. If the center image leans, repeat after swapping the headphones around or changing your listening position.

Before you begin
