Speaker Test
Check channel placement, useful frequency points and a full sweep while recording room vibration, furniture rattle and level changes.
Speaker and room check
Confirm position and channel routing
Left and right should come from the correct speaker. Center should form a stable phantom image between them.
Explore useful room and speaker frequencies
Compare nearby tones at the same level. A missing or quiet tone can come from the transducer, fit, placement, room, or your own hearing.
Listen for changes during a 20 Hz–20 kHz sweep
Mark the moment you notice an issue. The report records your observation; it does not detect faults automatically.
Your listening notes
Based only on the points you marked during the test. Repeat on another device or in another room before deciding that hardware has a problem.
Run the sweep or add a balance observation.
A peak is not always a speaker fault
Room modes can make a narrow bass region much louder or quieter at one listening position. Desks, shelves, windows and loose objects can rattle even when the speaker itself is healthy.
Repeat from a second position
If a marked bass problem changes dramatically when you move your head or chair, the room is likely contributing. Try moving the speaker or listening position in small steps and repeat at the same volume.
