Audio is generated locally in your browser. No microphone access is required, and your test history stays on this device unless you choose to download or share it.

Audio and microphone access
Frequency Test uses the Web Audio API to synthesize tones on your device. We do not record audio, listen to your environment or request microphone permission.
Local test data
Completed test summaries may be stored in your browser’s localStorage. A summary can include the test type, date, selected device category, left/right result, reliability score and frequencies you manually marked. This data is not sent to a Frequency Test server.
You can remove local data by clearing site data in your browser. Private-browsing modes may discard it automatically.
Downloaded result cards
When you download a result card, the image is drawn in your browser using Canvas. The file is saved through your browser’s normal download behavior and is not uploaded by us.
Anonymous analytics
The site can be configured to use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate usage information such as pages viewed, tools started and tests completed. We do not send exact left/right hearing frequencies to analytics. Where analytics is enabled, Google may process device and usage data under its own terms.
No accounts or database
There are no user accounts, login profiles or cloud test-history databases in this version of the site.
